As of the middle of January, our paperwork has been approved and we are now in the system for ADOPTION! You can locate our file online at http://www.itsaboutlove.org/ and our profile number is 22819084.

This is our collage that was turned in with our paperwork.

As we have mentioned before we've been told the fastest way to get a baby, is to let everyone we know that we are adopting, so you may keep your ears open. We appreciate you all for your love and support, and are looking forward to being parents and continuing on our eternal family!

Remember me??? Yeah, it's pretty sad how long it has been since I've been on here. It's too bad I couldn't just hook something up to my brain, and have it do all of my updating for me.

Like pretty much the rest of you all, our lives have been busy-crazy!!! I'm still at Home Depot, as part of the Merchandising Execution Team, with sometimes crazy hours, but for the most part, a pretty good schedule for retail M-F 5 AM - 1:30 PM. Jeremy started his own Heating & Air Conditioning Business, and has kept himself, as well as me busy.

I took my Hunter's Safety this year, and have put in with Jeremy for Duck Hunting. I've only been a couple of times, and of course Jeremy goes multiple times a week. Although I'm glad that he enjoys his duck hunting, I'll be glad to have the camo all over the garage put away until next duck season.
As most of you know, 2009 was 2 years since Cash was born and passed away. We had tried Invitro 2 more times with no success. We have since, filled out our paperwork for Adoption, and are now waiting to be chosen. Please pass our name along to anyone that you may come across.

For 2010, I will try and keep this better updated for you all, as well as myself.

For those of you that didn't know, I am now an associate of The Home Depot. I am in the Garden Department, and I really like it. It however is a total change to the work I'm used to, but I am always learning new things to apply to our house & yard. I still have my little business, it has just been so slow lately.

So this is one reason I haven't posted much lately, but come on.....We are ALL BUSY!!!!!

About 1 1/2 months ago, on a Saturday morning, our 8 year old niece Abbey called up to inform me that she went on to our blog to listen to some tunes, while she cleaned up her room. She saw fit to remind me that I hadn't updated the blog since March......Oops!!!! I told her that I had been really busy, and would try and get to it that weekend....Or not! I talked to her again 2 weeks ago and was reminded again, so I thought I would dedicate my first post back to her. Thanks for pushing me Abbey.

The day before we left on our vacation, I stopped by the bishop's to drop off a check for YW. Little did I know he was going to release me from my Young Womens calling. So sad.... I will miss the girls!

The week after we got home the 1st counselor asked if he could talk to me. When we sat down, he extended the calling of The Boy Scouts Weblos Leader.......... What.......... Can you REPEAT that? That is a foreign concept to me. Of course I said yes, but wish me luck!

We drove (okay I drove) 45 minutes to Kennedy Space Center. It was a cool experience, and if you ever have the chance, take it. It was all very informational. We started off by seeing a few little movies, and touring the museum. We then took a guided tour and learned about all that goes into preparing for a launch. We even rode the G-force stimulator, which is very comparable to what it feels like in the shuttle. What a great day! Now, to finish the tour, we need to go to Johnson Space Center in Texas. They are the ones who take over the Shuttle 18 seconds after it launches.

This was a fun activity, that we all did. We were team Goffia, and we had to sort out our recyclables (on a computer game). Next we drove our truck (which by the way does make the beeping sound when backing up) to the WM Plant. From there we turned the waste into energy. Then drove our truck to the Landfill, where we created Landfill Gas into Energy. It was actually a very informational game and a lot of fun! Below is our certificate.

My parents had some friends that they were on a mission with that live in the Orlando area, so we met up with them to go to church. After sacrament we walked out into the foyer heading to our next meeting and guess who I run into?????? Anyone???? Kacey Robinson Parker from PGHS. Can you say small world! It was great, we caught up for a bit, met her husband & cute kids. It made it even better running into someone I haven't seen in 10+ years.

I don't know if any of you ever have fence issues, but lately we have. Of course, most of our fence issues are due to neighboring dogs that just want to play with Dixie & King.

Most of the time they are in their dog run on the side of the house, but when we're around, we let them run around the back yard. So I let them run around for seriously like 15 minutes. When I went to put them away, they were gone, and so were 2 boards in the fence. So I call out for both of them, and surprise, surprise, Dixie is the only one who didn't leave the neighborhood. So I put Dixie in the dog run, and went looking for King. Of course being panicked & frustrated, I just grabbed my car & house keys.

I drove around to the front of the house that they got into their backyard, and saw some boards from their front fence. I just knew King was gone AGAIN! So I drove around looking for him for over a hour, then what do you know, my tire pressure light turns on, and my gas light turns on. HELLO, don't really have time to deal with any of that right now! I didn't have my purse with me, so I headed back for the house, so I could go get air & gas. While driving, I saw someone outside of the house where they gotten into, and asked him if he had by chance seen a black lab. His response was "I just got home for lunch a few minutes ago, and there was a black lab in my house, with my pit bull." You guessed it, he had doggy doors. But he said everything looked to be fine.

December 17, 1999 Jeremy & I tied the knot!

Jeremy - What a roller coaster ride we've been on the past 9 years, and I can't think of anyone else that I would want right next to me. I love and appreciate all that you do for me & our family. Well..... let me just tell you a little something, about Mr. & Ms. Naughty!!!!

It was the weekend of December 13th. Jeremy had gone duck hunting, and shot a couple of birds. King, being Jeremy's #1 bird dog, takes pride in all of the ducks that he retrieves, and doesn't like anyone else messing with his ducks!

So Jeremy had put the ducks in the fridge, and was planning on cutting out the meat the next day. Well Jeremy had a kid in his primary class, that wanted Jeremy to give him a duck call, and Jeremy told him he would have to earn it, and help him clean the ducks. The boy, his younger brother & dad, had called 15 minutes after church, to see if they could come over. So they came over, helped Jeremy clean the ducks, etc..., and decided that they wanted to cut the ducks heads off, and take them home. Boys will be boys???

So later on that night, I was in a ward council meeting, and Jeremy called to say that both dogs had gotten out. Dixie just ended up at a neighbors house, but King was NO where to be found. Jeremy drove around for about 45 minutes, before coming to pick me up, and then we both drove around for another 15 minutes. Finally Jeremy got a phone call from the dad, that had been to our house that day, and took King's duck heads home. He wanted them back!!!

The crazy thing is that they live about 2 miles away from us, and it's not a straight shot, there is a lot of twists & turns through neighborhoods!

All that for DUCK HEADS!

A Family Outing in the Duck Blind

One Friday afternoon, Jeremy convinced me to get all camoed out, and go duck hunting with him. Since both of us were going, we took both Dixie & King. It was pretty cool seeing where he goes out hunting at, and seeing the dogs in action. All 3 of them are in heaven when they are out there! We all had a GREAT time!

2. Real tree or Artificial? Artificial – Prelit is a must! We just got our pre-lit a couple of years ago, and it makes decorating for Christmas so much more enjoyable. I have no problem using an Evergreen candle for my pine smell!

3. When do you put up the tree? The day or 2 after Thanksgiving.

4. When do you take the tree down?
New Year’s day or the day after.

5. Do you like eggnog? Maybe once or twice during the holiday season, but it has to be half Eggnog & half sprite. (It’s not as heavy that way).

Boom Box that I got in 8th grade. I still have it, and it works great!

One year, Jeremy & I decided to open all of our presents up on Christmas Eve, and then sleep in Christmas Morning.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? People are rude and want to run you over with a shopping cart or heaven forbid their automobile.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color? I love all of my Ornaments!!! I’ve got big rustic jingle bells, red jingle bells, rustic metal stars, red metal stars, holly berries, cinnamon pine cones, & fun rustic signs (brand new this year) “Be Naughty!!! Save Santa the trip”, “When you stop believing in Santa, you get Underware”, “Dear Santa, I want it ALL”, “Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, and “Dear Santa, is it too late to be good?”

We usually do the traditional dinner, but I always look forward to Appetizers, Sweet Potatoes & Dessert. For Christmas Eve, we always have Corn Chowder & Scones (or some other bread) YUMMY!

25. What do you want for Christmas this year? A BABY, is that too much to ask for? I told Santa to save his money to help me pay for adoption.

What Next............???

Many of you have asked, or been wondering where we are regarding babies. Well let me fill you in. We implanted 4 eggs in June, but unfortunately they DIDN'T take.

I worked really hard at the gym to get my body back into shape before trying again, but seriously does anyone feel like they are in the shape they want to be?

We tried again, and implanted 5 eggs on October 15th, and it was a NO go. Even though we still have 10 eggs left, we have decided to keep them frozen, and go the adoption route.

We have turned in our 1st application to LDS Family Services, and we are now waiting to go to the orientation meeting in December.

We really appreciate all of you that have been fasting and praying for us. Please keep us in your prayers, and keep your ears open if you hear of anyone putting babies up for adoption.

Southern Utah in September

We took a quick road trip to Southern Utah to see Jeremy's family. It's been a while since we've been, so we decided to make the trip & DRIVE.

Our plans were to leave after work on Wednesday, and stay the night in Bakersfield, and drive the rest of the way the next morning. By the time we had gotten to Bakersfield it was only 10:30 and we didn't want to stop driving so early on. We stopped for gas, and a few little snacks/drinks & decided to then drive to Barstow and get a room. To make a long story short, we arrived in St. George at 6:00 AM. When we stopped for drink in Bakersfield, Jeremy had gotten an energy drink (which he never has) and it kept him wired enough to drive through the night!

We of course caught 4-5 hours of sleep, and then we met up with my niece Erica & her husband Dan, who had just moved there a couple of months earlier. We saw their cute apartment, went to dinner, and got caught up with life. They just had their 1st baby Alayna in October. Congrats, she is so precious & has TONS of hair!

We spent the rest of the weekend with Jeremy's parents, and had a great time and wonderful visit. We saw the movie fly boys (It was filmed in the area). It was a great movie. We drove around and saw how much St. George has grown since we lived there. Saturday was Dad's birthday, so it started off with shooting at the gun range, and I got invited! I have to admit, I always love when I get invited.

I had a GREAT time, and look forward to going again!

After we were done at the shooting range, we had a nice party for dad at the house. Many close friends and some family were able to come. We finally were able to meet our niece Ares for the 1st time.

The next morning we woke up early and hit the road, so we could get home early afternoon. We had a great time, in such a short weekend. There are so many of you that we would have loved to see, but not enough time. I guess that means we'll just have to make another trip back soon - This time we'll FLY!

So about 2 1/2 weeks ago our Toilet Lever broke off in the master bathroom. Since Jeremy was gone at the time, I needed to some how jimmy-rig it, so the little plastic thing wouldn't drop into the water. So what did I use - you ask? Well a wire hanger of course. You know I always hate how many wire hangers we accumulate, thanks to dry cleaning, but this time I did find a purpose for them. So for the past 2 1/2 weeks we've been flushing that toilet with the Wire Hanger.

Jeremy has been meaning to go to Home Depot and pick up the part, and

fix it, but he has been SO busy this summer. I was tired of flushing with a Wire Hanger, and having the Tank Lid sit on my counter, so I stopped by Home Depot on my way home from the Gym. So not to TOOT my own horn or anything, but I came home and made the change all by myself. It works as good as new. The Wire hanger is in the trash, and the Tank lid is off the counter and back were it belongs.

One year ago today at 2:02 AM, our sweet baby Cash was born. From the first moment anyone met him, they could feel his sweet spirit. For the short amount of time that he was here on this earth, he touch so many peoples lives, especially mine & Jeremy's. We still can't believe that it has already been a year, although throughout that time, it has felt as if we were on a roller coaster. We have been so blessed to feel Cash with us, even though we miss him immensely. We are so grateful that Families Can Be Together Forever, because honestly without that knowledge I don't think I would be able to get out of bed each morning. We want to thank all of our wonderful Family & Friends for all of your love, support, prayers, thoughts, gifts, and your kindness. Our saying for our little boy is "We love a Baby Cash", which we truly do, and we look forward to one day being together again.

My Friend Tiffani was out in California for her son's medical health. While they had a few free days before they went back home to Washington, we worked it out so we could get together for lunch, and catch up.

Tiffani lived next to me during my college years at Dixie, and we hadn't seen each other for 7+ years.

We met at the Macaroni Grill in Stockton, and had a great time catching up on everything that's been going on. We talked about putting a Reunion together, so you other Dixie Chicks let us know what you think.

Your probably wondering what is with the poll about Adam & Eve's belly buttons.... Yes. Well here goes the story....

My sister & her family were traveling back to California from a summer trip to Utah. Since they were delivering me my Grandma Sycamore's bread, I thought we should just meet up in Sacramento and grab a bite to eat. We sat down in the booth at Mimi's, and caught up about their vacation. Next thing I know, my 7 year old niece is asking "Aunt Nat, did Adam & Eve have belly buttons?"

My first response to her was "Where in the world, did you come up with that question?" She said that she was looking at her belly button one day, and that the question about Adam & Eve popped in her head. WOW, I said, you sure have a imagination. Then I gave her my answer, that Yes, I think Adam & Eve had belly buttons.

My sister went on to tell me that she asked 2 other family members that question as well. One answered Yes, he thought Adam & Eve had belly buttons, while the other one answered No. He said belly buttons are a scar, that come from the umbilical cord, being in the womb.

I don't know about you, but lately I have been a FREAK about getting our food storage & 72 hour kits together. It has always been there in my mind, but never to this extreme. I'm sure the economy & gas prices have helped my enthusiasm as well. I thought I would share some of my finds with you, and would love to hear about any of your finds or ideas.

First of all, I have been wanting the Shelf Reliance Food Rotation System that I learned about last fall at Time Out For Women. I have done my homework, and found it the least expensive at Costco.

Next, we are having the YM/YW go to the Cannery as a service project, to can some Food Storage for those in the ward who sign up. (So if you are in the youth program this might be a good service project).

As far as the Church Cannery goes, it only offers so much, so I've checked out some other websites for a wider variety. The 2 that have the best prices are Shelf Reliance and Emergency Essentials . I've also heard Walton Feed is another good place to order from, but their website is under construction.

Last of all, I came across a website, where you can track your food storage. I'm still in the early stages of learning about the website, but you should check it out and see what you think.

One last thing, I found this article on 7 mistakes of food storage, and thought that you may find it useful as well.

The 1st week of June, we flew down to Anaheim Hills/Yorba Linda area for our friends Shane & Dana's wedding. Jeremy and Shane have been friends since elementary, and Dana and I have become closer over the past 3 1/2 years, when they met at another friends' wedding.

We flew in on Wednesday, got settled into our hotel, then met up with the others that had arrived that day. We all went out to Dinner, and then afterwards did a little karaoke. Somehow I ended up on stage belting

one out.

On Thursday, all the guys had gotten up early for a round of golf, as us ladies slept in a bit. Some of us went for a spa treatment, while others lounged by the pool. Later that night was the Rehearsal & Rehearsal Dinner. I was the main photographer at the Rehearsal & Dinner and got some good shots.

Friday was the big day. When we woke up, we had called Jeremy's boss and met up with him for a couple of hours. We went on a tour of his house and chatted for awhile. Then I was on to helping out the bride for the next couple of hours. They were married & had a Reception at a Golf Coarse Club in Anaheim Hills. It was really beautiful, and everything went smoothly.

Camp Far West

Over Memorial Day Weekend, we went camping at Camp Far West with some friends. As you can see we took both King & Dixie. Don't ask me how or why, but for some reason they thought these chairs were for them. It's not like they are indoors & allowed on furniture. It was fun having both of the dogs together since King has been in training for the past 3 months, and after this weekend, they both are finishing up their training over the next 3 months. We will be dog-less.

We had a great & relaxing time. The weather was a bit colder than I had hoped & packed for. So much for getting a tan at the lake. We tented it, and realized that a trailer might be our future after all.

The picture above is the only one I took, since I forgot to charge the battery. Dang, I hate when that happens!!!

So for my big 30th birthday, Jeremy told me to be ready by noon, with my bags packed for an overnighter. We met at his office, so he could leave his truck there and we could travel together.

Our first stop was RMP Raceway. If you know me, you know I LOVE Roller Coaster, rides, games, etc... We had to wear the outfits like the professionals, helmets, the whole nine yards.

We paid to race two times, on each track. The 1st track, it was just Jeremy & I, and yes Jeremy lapped me a couple of times. The 2nd track we had 5 other men join us for the race. Lets just say, there was a bit too much testosterone on the track for me, and I pulled off to the pit before I really wanted to make them all run into the wall. All and all it was a good time.

Next we headed towards downtown, to our room on the Delta King.

We've eaten on the Delta King before, but we've never stayed overnight. They were really cool rooms. The toilet had a chain you pulled down, and the bath tub was one of those tubs that have the feet. It was a really fun place to stay, and we were right in Old Town Sacramento, so of course we had to stop in for some taffy.

For dinner, we went to one of our favorite destinations - The Melting Pot. We always enjoy the atmosphere, food & company when we go to The Melting Pot - Yum

They even took our picture while sitting in Lovers Lane.

Thank you Jeremy for making my 30th Birthday a memorable & great one.

Good Samaritans & The Talking Car

So last night, I was meeting a friend half way between here & LA, with her grandson. Things were running smoothly, we met up with each other in a small town called Earlimart. Everything was great, we chatted for a few minutes, moved all of the baby's items to her car, then we were both on our different ways.

I cranked up the music, and was making good time. I started to get hungry, so I pulled off to grab a bite, then I was back on the road for my 3 1/2 hour drive. All of the sudden a light, that I had never seen went off in my car. I then decided that I should pull off the road, and look up what this light means in the owner's manual. It took forever to find it in the book, I even called Jeremy to see if he knew what it meant, or where I could find it in the book. Then I flip to the page, and it tells me that the light means there is a tire pressure change in one of the tires. So I get out of the car, and what do you know - yep a FLAT Tire.

So here I am in another small little town, not to mention not a very good part of town. Luckily I did pull off at a gas station. I went into the gas station, to see if anyone could help me change a flat. 2 Gentlemen that worked there, both came to my rescue. Once they had changed the tire, the light still showed low tire pressure, so they checked all of the tires, and put in some air. They said they were heading north about 30 miles, and they would follow me, to make sure I didn't have anymore problems.

Everything worked fine, and I made it back home about 1 am this morning. I am so grateful to those 2 men that helped me out in a pinch, and I am so grateful for a talking Vehicle. I didn't even realize that I had that feature, but who knows what would have happened if my tire had blown at 70-75 Mph.

So a few days ago I went and had a massage. I know, rough life huh! Anyway, after my stress relieving, relaxing massage, I put my clothes on , and went up front to pay. I paid, scheduled another appointment, then was on my way out the door.

I had 2 stops to make, Mens Warehouse & Target to pick a few things up, then I headed home. Shortly after being home & putting things away, I noticed that I had put my shirt on inside-out. At first, I felt a bit embarrassed. I kept going back and forth in my mind - "I wonder if anyone else noticed", "If they did, did they think I did it on purpose". After having a good conversation with myself for about 5 minutes, I started laughing and thought "Oh well, It's not like I ran into anyone I know".

Our Own Home Extreme Makeover

So it's been a Really LONG time since I've posted, so I thought I would let you all know what we've been up to. "Our own Home Extreme Makeover". Mostly just little things that we have been wanting to do for awhile now.

OUTSIDE:

We've repainted the outside of the house...... to of course my fav color....

Also you may notice in the before & after pics that we redid the landscaping in the front yard. It looks so much better!!!

With a new paint job, of course we needed new lighting. I'm loving the bronze copper look, brass is not my favorite.

New Light Fixtures

A Backyard, that is not just weeds. We started the backyard last summer, but had a few things to finish. We also planted a few more trees & plants. It's so nice to actually enjoy your backyard for BBQ's, sitting by the fire, or just relaxation. Now we are just waiting to win the lottery (NOT) to buy a hot tub for the area next to the fire pit.

Also Outside:

* We poured more concrete where I was going to do a salsa garden (with 2 dogs, that's not realistic). We've ordered a Tuff shed for all of Jeremy's Hunting Garb and Duck Decoys.

* We also ordered a Decorative screen door for the front of the house. Mostly so we can open up the house at night when we have that nice Delta breeze.

* With Jeremy being in the HVAC business, he decided that we needed a new AC & Furnace. Not that we needed to replace it, he just wanted a new big & bad system.

INSIDE:

We changed the paint from Green to Brown

We have 5-6 of these cutouts in our house that were all painted green, and we had them repainted to this brown color. I like it a lot!

Also Inside:

* I've ordered Window treatments for the house, and I can't wait until they get here.

* We are getting Cased in lights for the kitchen.

So that has been our "little" Home Extreme Makeover. Jeremy would love to re-do the kitchen, but I keep telling him we probably only be in this house for another 5 years. So who knows.

Sunny So-Cal

I'm back tracking here for this posting! Two days after I returned home from my Utah/Birthday weekend, Jeremy & I packed up the Jeep and headed to sunny Southern California.

Talk about weather shock!!! I went from wearing Sweaters & Uggs to Shorts, Capri's, Short Sleeve Shirts & Flip Flops. The change was nice, and the weather was BEAUTIFUL!

We made our little getaway into a business/pleasure trip. We arrived in Anaheim on Thursday morning about 1:30 AM. We then took all day Thursday for our business portion. We went over to Jeremy's company corporate office, for a meeting & lunch, that I had set up for myself and the purchasing department. Jeremy was just along for the ride. He had every intention of taking the day off, but when we got there, they were pulling him into conference calls, meetings, and different departments. Needless to say, he decided not to take the day off!

That night we went into downtown Disneyland, and ate at the ESPN Zone. While we waited for them to buzz us, we took our time playin' a little Air Hockey, B-Ball Hoops, Car Racing, Etc... While we were eating dinner, we were able to watch all of the NCAA B-ball on 25 different Screens.

On Friday, we went to:

I had been to Knott's berry Farm once, when I was 5 years old. Jeremy had never been, and the people at Jeremy's corporate office said that there would be more Adult rides at Knott's. So here we are! While we were waiting to buy our tickets, we scored and got a coupon 2 for 1. We were off to a good start.

I found myself some new Transportation!Jeremy found himself some "HOT" chicks!

We rode rides, played games, ate some really good/bad food, and had a great time! We will definitely have to go back when it's not Easter & Spring Break!

That night we were invited to dinner with a gal from Jeremy's company. She had just recently gotten married, and wanted us to get together with her & her husband. They had us over to their house for an excellent BBQ. It was so fun to get together with them. We've known her since Jeremy started in Las Vegas.

We rode a couple of rides, walked & waited A LOT in the 90'+ heat. Not the best time I've had at Disneyland.

If you only listen to one thing I ever say, please listen to this. DO NOT EVER GO TO DISNEYLAND OVER SPRING BREAK/EASTER WEEKEND!!! I should know better, but this is just how our trip worked out. Jeremy & I have agreed that we will pull our kids out of school, during October - February.

Any how enough of that!

We had a great time. We enjoyed each other, the weather, friends, rides, and good food.

Last Saturday was our nephew Nicholas' Baptism. We of course were not able to be there, since it was in Utah, but we want Nick to know how proud of him we are, and how much we love him!

Yesterday was my Mom's 70th birthday! I had such a fun weekend with her, my dad & my sisters, and I'm so glad I was able to be there to celebrate her special day with her! She is such a special person to me, and touches the lives of thoses she meets. She always is such a great example to me, and I appreciate all of her unconditional love & support. I love you mom, and I hope you had a GREAT 70th birthday!

Utah Trip & A Birthday Weekend!

Those of you that live away from your childhood home town know, that when you go back for a visit, it's always jam packed full of errands to be run, people to see, time to be spent with the family, bank accounts to close - now that you haven't lived in the state for 10 years, etc... This trip was no different. HOWEVER, my main reason for making the trip in the 1st place, was to surprise my mom for her 70th birthday.

So of course to make all of this possible, I flew in 1 1/2 days early to get everything else done. I first started off my trip to Utah by having Jessica Johnsen Powell pick me up from the airport, so we could stop for lunch, and get caught up on everything.

That night I went to a Chili's dinner with Heather Blackhurst Lloyd & Jocelyn Blackhurst. "It's always fun getting together with you two!"

Friday lunch, I had arranged for us friends from High School (those who could make it), to meet at a favorite - The Pizza Factory. We all had a great time catching up with what's going on in each others lives, children, PG, etc...

So now that I had gotten most of the people seen that I needed to, It was time for my sisters & I to surprise my mom for her birthday weekend. All of my sisters, but 1 (she already lives in SLC area) met at my Dad & Mom's house. My mom was in a back room of the house, so we snuck in, and all sat down on the couches. My dad told her that 1 of her friends was at the door, wanting to sell her something. When she came around the corner, we all yelled "SURPRISE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"

As you can see her jaw dropped, and was so shocked to see almost all of us there. We then told her she had 15 min. to pack a weekend bag, and we had reservations for 6:30. We then caravan'd up the The Melting Pot in SLC, which half of the family had never been there, so it was a new and fun experience.

After spending 3-4 hours at The Melting Pot, we made our way to the Hotel. We all got situated, and spent the next couple of hours talking, laughing, etc... Finally some of us didn't get to bed until about 3:15.

The next morning we had a late start. We had breakfast at the hotel, then went to a 12:00 session at the Salt Lake Temple. It was my first time doing a live session, as well as some of my sisters, but it was the first time we had all done a session together before. We even felt my sister Geniel & my baby Cash there with us. I love that feeling!

After the Temple session, we went and ate lunch at the Lion House Pantry. By the time we had gotten done eating, it had started to snow. Oh how I don't miss the snow. It's nice to visit every once in awhile, but really, not that sad about living in it!

Next we went back to the hotel to get changed up. Some people watched the BYU basketball game, and the rest of us went shopping. We didn't really buy too much, as we went to Trolley Square, and that place is as dead as ever!

We went back to the hotel, put on some comfortable clothes, and played games, talked, and ate pizza down in the lobby/library area.

Sunday morning - we got packed up, and headed back to Dad & Mom's. We attended Sacrament with them, then had HUGE birthday party with the Husbands & Kids.

One of my favorite things on Sunday, was finally meeting my Great Nephew. Yes I said great! Wow, that makes me really old when you say that. I'm too young to be a great aunt. Anyways, this little guys is so darn adorable, and I was ready to pack him up with me at anytime. His name is Easton, and he is a keeper!

On Monday, I made a quick trip up to Tai Pan, and a stop to Jimmy John's before heading back home, to sunny California, Where I am now back to wearing Shorts & Capri's!

We took the Young Men & the Young Women on a Snow Trip overnighter, up to Kirkwood. We were all able to stay in a huge nice cabin, courtesy of the Messersmith's. We had a great time EATING, playing games, playing in the snow, and when all the kids went to sleep, Jenny and I went Hot Tubbing. What the life! I love all of our Bishopric, YM/YW Leaders & the kids.

My mom came out to Sacramento on Tuesday, February 26th, and stayed through Saturday, March 1st for the Scarpbooking 2008 Tour. Okay, so it was just us at my house, but we had a great time, and got lots done. We/Mom got caught up on a lot of chic flicks, and a few other good ones. We were able to try out the Cricut Machine, and found that we LOVE it! Although we were able to get a lot accomplished, there is still lots to do. Maybe later on this year, or for the Scrapbooking 2009 Tour!

We also met my sister

Denise & her family in Vacaville, for a surprise Birthday party for Mom. Her birthday isn't for a couple of weeks, but since we live here & she doesn't, we thought we would throw her one. We of course ate like royalty at BJ's Restaurant, and enjoyed catching up with each other.

Lastly, before heading to the airport, we stopped by Cemetery to visit Cash's grave and put some flowers on it. Thanks Mom for doing that, and being such a wonderful mom! We - especially me appreciate all of your love and support.

I had a wonderful time, and look forward to doing it again!

Dixie Chics + 1 In Town

This past weekend Amber, Malia, Desi, and Ava (Desi's 9 month old) came to visit me in Sacramento. It's been 10 years, since we all lived together in beautiful St. George.

We had a GREAT weekend together, but it went by way too quickly! We had a great time traveling down memory lane, looking at Scrapbook, reading old apartment Journals.

Ava is such a cute & good baby. She was a trooper to be dragged around by these four women. As long as her mom was in sight, even holding her, she was a good girl.

We did a lot of fun things, but I think we ate more than anything! They flew in on Friday morning, so after picking them up from the airport, we went to Jeremy's office, then I introduced them to Panera Bread for lunch. Next we came back to our house to freshen up, and get relaxed a bit. Jeremy came home from work, and we went out to dinner at The Elephant Bar. After dinner, we came home and talked for hours. Just like the good old days!

Saturday, we woke up and got ready for the day. Of course by this time we were hungry for lunch, so we went to the Cheesecake Factory - Yum! Next we did some shopping, and hit up all of the good stores. After shopping, I showed them the State Capitol, and Old Sacramento. Malia got a piece of artwork on her foot, that will always remind her of Sacramento, and of course we couldn't go to Old Sac without stopping in for some Salt Water Taffy and Old Fashion Candy.

Sunday, we all slept in a little late, then I made them a breakfast that was delicious!!! Pumpkin Waffles, with Pumpkin Butter, Cinnamon Syrup, Scrambled Eggs, and Turkey Bacon. Then wefianlly got ready for the day, and headed to the Jelly Belly Factory. We took a tour, bought some treats, and even sampled a few. Desi and Amber were the brave one's, but Desi get's the prize for trying the most gross ones. Amber tried a Black Pepper and Vomit jelly bean, and pretty much lost her appetite, for a bit. Desi tried a Vomit, Skunk, Booger, Baby Wipes, and Rotten Egg jelly bean. Desi wasn't even phased by them, but after eatting the rotten egg, her breath smelt terrible!!! Love ya Des! After we left the Jelly Belly Factory, we stopped for a snack. We had Burritos & Tacos from Carl's Jr. Green Burrito. Their Burritos are the closest to Taco Amigo's that I've found. We then got home and had Round Table Pizza & Breadsticks. Next we went doen to the Cemetary to place flowers on Cash's grave, and so they could see where he was laid to rest. I'm so glad we were able to do that, it meant a lot to me. The rest of the night we stayed up reading through our apartment journal, looking at scrapbooks, and other pictures.

Monday morning we got ready, packed up the car and drove to the airport. That was the end of our eventful weekend!

Thanks girls for coming down to Sacramento! I had a great time, and miss you all so much!

Today is Jeremy's 32nd Birthday. Of course the older we get, it seems birthdays get less & less exciting. So I of course tried to do the best I could.

I had arranged for us to get together with some friends & their wives for a nice meal on Saturday, but it ended up that only the boys & 1 wife could make it. (I was unable to go, since I looked like Rocky Dennis - according to Jeremy). I love Teeth problems!

Today on his special day, we had a nice casual dinner at home with a few friends. Over all he seems to have had a great day.

Thank you to all friends & family for your phone calls, cards, gifts, and making this a special day. Jeremy has started up a new Cabela's fund!

It will be cheaper, less harmful, and you most likely will walk away with out a scratch. Also If your vehicle is already paid off, you may have to enter back into the world of vehicle payments.

P.S. WEAR YOUR SEATBELT!!! It does save lives.
